Net Metering & Maintenance
A Look At Net Metering
Net metering is a mechanism which allows domestic or commercial users who generate their own electricity using solar panels or photovoltaic systems to export their surplus energy back to the grid.

Benefits of Net Metering
Net metering in Pakistan is a billing mechanism that credits solar energy system proprietors for the power they add to the grid. For instance, if a private client has a PV framework, it might create more power than the home uses amid sunlight hours. If the house is net-metered, the power meter will run in reverse to give a credit against what power is used around evening time or different periods where the home’s power utilize surpasses the system’s yield. Clients are only charged for their “net” energy utility.

Why do you need to maintain your solar panel system?
It is important that regular maintenance is carried out on your solar panel system. Undertaking regular maintenance will ensure your solar panel system is operating safely, correctly and efficiently.
Over time dust and debris will build up on your solar panels, which may compromise the performance of your solar panel system. In addition, water and moisture seepage, vermin, hail, wind and sunlight can all cause damage or deterioration to your system.

Zero-Energy Homes
If you owned a zero-energy home, you could honestly say, “none.” Zero-energy homes use energy-efficient appliances and insulation to reduce their consumption, while producing their own energy with renewable resources. When those homes are connected to the energy grid and use net metering, they can end up producing just as much energy as they consume.
